About
Sally's love of beautiful spaces and architecture started at a very early age but it was trip to Frank Lloyd Wright's Falling Water with her art class in high school that truly inspired her to really love architecture. Unfortunately, a degree in architecture wasn't something that she could afford so it remained a sidelined dream. Although she had always artfully curated her homes' interiors it wasn't until she bought and renovated her own home that she was able to put into practice her architecture and design skills. Not only did she design the changes to that home but she did all of the construction herself with the help of her father. Growing up on a farm in West Virginia with coal mining, engineering and self-reliance in her blood, construction came easy to her. After buying and renovating a second home and helping friends and family do the same she took a job with an experienced home builder That lasted a year and then the pandemic hit and she lost her job. She decided to homeschool her kids but in the winter of 2021 was contacted by a contractor. He needed help coming up with a solution to a serious architectural problem caused by several additions put on the home and unqualified builders, a DIY catastrophe. Sally designed and planned the entire construction and with that her business was born. She has since designed and planned several spaces. She firmly believes that our interiors have a huge impact on our emotional well being and should reflect our stories. She is not interested in fast homewares, the fast fashion equivalent of interior design, even though HGTV makes it look enticing. Sally tries to make sustainable changes that will stand the test of time. She is curious and passionate about learning, and is always thinking outside of the box.
“Sally, you offered us more than I expected with our living room redesign.
I asked for more light and space. You gave us that and more.
We now have comfort, beauty, uniqueness and a deep joyful calm.
I'm convinced that no one else could have gotten us here. Your ideas were informed by beauty and function, and you incorporated our aesthetic and our functional needs. I'm beyond impressed. Your work is a daily contribution to our lives.
Everyone (and every room) needs a dose of Sally!"
